On Wednesday we started our day by eating, and then checking out of our hotel. We then went over to the Ford's theater, which is where Lincoln was shot. The staff then explained to us the setting and what was happening and how it was possible for John Wilkes Booth to get into the presidential box and shoot President Abraham Lincoln.
We then went across the street to the Peterson house. The Peterson house was the house that Lincoln was brought to after being shot. The bed where Lincoln dies is still sitting in the house, now encased in glass.
Our last stop before getting back on the bus for the 13 hour ride home was the Smithsonian. Once there we were free to go wherever we wanted as long as we were back at the bus by time to go.
