We had lunch at the Pentagon City Mall. |

In the afternoon we were with out tour guide. We saw the outside of the U.S. capital building. It is the building where two large parts of our government, the House of Representatives and the Senate, meet. We saw all of the outside but were not allowed inside for security reasons. |

Then the tour guide showed us through the Library of Congress, a large library with a huge number of books. People go there to use rare and hard-to-find books for research they cannot do anywhere else. Though the Library needs several rooms to hold all of its books, we only toured the parts without books, so we saw only a small part of the library. |
|
After that we toured the Supreme Court building with our tour guide. It is the building where the Supreme Court meets. They are the branch of government that decides whether or not the laws are fair and within the Constitution. |

We ate supper at a Pizzeria Uno. We spent the rest of the night at our Hotel.
